The Plateau state government has ordered the immediate closure of schools in the state on or before Saturday March 21 following the spiked cases of coronavirus recorded in the country. Secretary to the Plateau State Government, Prof. Danladi Atu said the decision was taken to curb the spread of the virus in the state. The statement reads in part; “The decision becomes unavoidable because of the world spread of Covid-19 in the country and the world at large. It is therefore imperative for government to adapt these and other measures to safegaurd lives of its citizens.” Citizens in the state were urged to ensure the highest levels of personal hygiene as way of curtailing and preventing the pandemic.
